Zeph would appreciate this. Seems like such a simple fix.

That is just way too much work haha My OCD allows me to ignore the extra work, in favor of it being flat and looking better.

If only the "no pillar nipples" mod was consistently updated.

It's easier just to place the column then a temp ceiling and then place a ceiling above that one. Then destroy the temp. Most of my base was built this way. Pillars then temp ceilings and then place real ceiling over it. easy peasy Make sure you do the whole thing first with the temp ceilings so your whole floor plan is the same height.

How do you keep your pillars lined up if you place them before the ceilings?

You only place one stack of pillars then put the ceiling on top then extend two ceilings out from that onr and then snap your next set of pillars down from the last ceiling you were able to place.

Sure, but unless you're using the method in that video, your pillars will clip through the ceiling when you build out horizontally before building vertically. The goal is to get a flush look, which is hard to do (at least for me) when building down.

Just put a temp ceiling first then the real one just above it. It will hide the pillar. You only need the temp ones on the rows. Once you have tops on ones will snap between them. Don't remove any temps until it is all done.
