I would like to ask how long this world map has been up? maybe it's time for a world wipe to clear bases up and what not? I may not know what I'm talking about, but this game does not seem to be setup to really handle being a populated server. Sure it does fine with like 30-50 people, but not 30-50 people at all times with half of them starting a base or taming a dino and never coming back and leaving things.
To me, this seems like a game that should do at least 1 map wipe per 3 months. I would even go so far as to say that this game map was never intended to be used for non competition ( ie map reset after each "season" of game match).

While I agree that it seems over crowded at times, this server has a good system for quickly handling the "two day gamer" bases.
But while we are on the topic of wipes and resets, I agree that this map seems tight for the amount of people who play on here. I wouldnt mind restarting on a bigger map, give everyone more room and make it more of a challenge to survive.

To me, this seems like a game that should do at least 1 map wipe per 3 months. I would even go so far as to say that this game map was never intended to be used for non competition ( ie map reset after each "season" of game match). The server has been on since Jan 23rd. We are going on 3 months old. The game limits that are set in place are not conducive to PVE. The game is a PVP game with PVE as an after thought. PVP is suppose to handle overcrowding of dinos. A lot of issues should be fixed when they introduce new maps that will hopefully have their own dino count. Seems our server has reached it's limit cap for tamed dinos....all wondering how we can cull our unclaimed dinos to help this.. Thank You we've increased the limit to 6k and upped egg production. you shouldn't need as many dinos for a kibble farm. a few innactive tribes have had their dinos culled as well. i'd guess based on what i've killed we have about 1250 more dinos to tame to hit 6k. should be even more, as people have been culling their unused dinos all day. While I agree that it seems over crowded at times, this server has a good system for quickly handling the "two day gamer" bases. But while we are on the topic of wipes and resets, I agree that this map seems tight for the amount of people who play on here. I wouldnt mind restarting on a bigger map, give everyone more room and make it more of a challenge to survive. we play on the current map simply because it is the only map that has 100% dev content. No other map has the new caves, will have the new ruins, boss arenas etc. They may at some point, but will not for quite some time after they're released. We left Valhalla for this as a group. Hopefully new maps will be pushed by the dev team soon.

Also the larger maps do not allow for more dino's. There is no way to avoid server limits (dino or platform) unless we police ourselves and remain conservative.
Each increase of these kinds of settings will reduce server performance, which we don't want either. PVE is always going to be a bit of double edged sword in this way. At least until, as Nashiq said, adjust for PVE in some way.
Even if we wipe, we will hit the limits again, and I am not sure that doing a server wipe everything 3 months is best.
