We had twin juvinille gigas that just disappeared. They are both alive but we think they may have fell through the world

If they fall through the earth then they despawn. It's been months since something was actually found under the earth. Unless you can see their nametags there's nothing we can do. You can try flying away from the base and using the dino finder and see if that brings them to the surface but there's a 99% chance they're gone.

Is there something we were doing that could increase the chance of them falling through the earth? The first fell through while they were in solid ground (this was yesterday). The second I moved into our breeding pen on a stone foundation and it fell through this morning (I saw him this morning when I logged in to feed him before work). Or are we just that unlucky? (Though it wouldn't surprise me if that were the case lol)

Hey Nibella, just saw your message.
I've seen that dinos are falling through foundations about half-way, to a point where I'm unable to mount them. They'll eventually come back out on top or I'll need to move them (follow) in order to get them out. I've seen it so much since the last 2 patches I've just ignored it. They end up on top eventually.
From I've read and there's nothing that you're doing that forces this to occur (or not occur) more or less frequently. As I'm sure you heard for others, it's a known bug to loose dinos randomly.
Sorry, I know how you feel. On the bright side I have had dinos magically disappear and then reappear a few days later.

What happens is the dino loads before anything else. the terrain or building pieces. Because of that it falls until the building piece or ground loads then it's stopped. Things have gotten better. When we first started we were getting 5+ lost dinos a week if not more from them falling through the earth.
The last 2 patches also introduced a resource respawn which forced resources to respawn where they shouldn't have been able to (inside someones base for example). That caused a couple dinos i owned to poof as well.
It really sucks, but that's life in an Alpha game.
