If you try to connect through the servers list it'll give you the mod mismatch error, I don't see the server in my survivors or favorites list either. I assume it does that when there is a mismatch, if it's not that, anyone have advice beyond the usual redownload mods?

I uninstalled all mods, says server is out of date >.< mod was updated today, the death helper mod. It wont even download any more, just says server is out of date and can't login How is this even a thing? Your local mods can be more update than your favorite server so you can't play... gg... wtf... This is a developer stupidity. Something should auto happen here or client side shouldn't be forced to update if the only server they play on isn't updated... /rageragerage. A button we can click to trust downloading the server's version of the mod on trusted servers... something amg. lol >.<

steamcommunity.com/app/346110/discussions/0/521643320352527763/There's a long-winded explanation of how to make the mods ONLY download when you log into the game, so they wont update if the server isn't updated Basically it's right click on ARK in the steam game's list and click properties, "updates" tab, and select only download mods when you log into the game Unfortunately this doesn't work backwards >.< we're still stuck until the server's mod versions are updated >.< I guess we're just screwed for the evening lol. Ah well.

I would assume even if I have a mod mismatch I should still be able to see the server in the available servers list, I would just receive an error when logging into said server.

Hey folks! Long time listener, first time caller.
Here's an interesting server situation. It shows as having 84/70 players, yet it lists exactly 14 players in the logged in player list. Looks like it's registering at full capacity + the current logged in people. Possibly a bug in either steam or the server itself.

Looks like it's registering at full capacity + the current logged in people. Possibly a bug in either steam or the server itself. There is a bug when a player tries to join using one of the ranking sites. Use Steam to login to the server for now, and you can connect.

Thanks for the reply. This circumstance was on steam using the server browser. I went to the server browser because the browser in Ark didn't list the server. I have never used a ranking site. Any ideas?

To be clear, you launch ARK through steam client, not through a website link correct?
FYI - (for others that may not know) There are three ways to launch ARK, website, client and through Steam Servers. Using a website or Steam Servers will autoconnect you to the target server, while the client will require you to filter for your server using the ARK interface.

you should always join by launching the ark client from steam, then "Join Ark" then on the left filter by "my survivors". you should see our server that way and you can get in. joining through the rankings sites is bad.

Good tips. Here's the sequence of events.
Loaded up ark,but server wasn't listed. Brought up steam server list, saw 84/70 online. Never actually got an opportunity to try to join.
Still not in Ark list, and showing 97/70 on server info on steam. Weird.

I just went into steam workshop and unsubscribed from all mods. That did the trick. No error, but I'm guessing it's a version of the mod mismatch.

just in case i'm going to go ahead and update the 2 mods that did not seem to be causing issues, but then again I forgot if you play on multiple servers and they update their mods it will not let you in.

Ark Against Humanity no longer displays when sorted via "My Survivors" or using a general search of Unofficial Servers. The same is true of several other servers that should be displayed on the Survivor list. Seems just since the recent Ark update a few minutes ago.
I see other folks are still listed as playing on arkservers.net
Regards, Hicks
Edit: Also tried unsubscribing from all mods, even though this seems unrelated. No joy.
