Through some incompetence of my own when attempting to roll back for the first time. Anyone who had yet to log in on 9/20 just lost their character. (This is why I never did a manual rollback before. I knew I'd screw something up.)
Bluefang does not keep backups so we are SOL.
We can try and help everyone level using admin commands and restore gear or we could wipe and start over.
Going to leave that to the community.

personally i think a full wipe with a wk or so of increased multipliers like after the last wipe would be the best and most fair option

Don't think we should wipe, invested way too much time into this. Increased rates for a week don't do much as some of us work and can only get on in the evenings. Increased rates would have to stay up for 2-3 weeks in order to be beneficial.If the problem is just character lvls, I dont think we need a wipe, if bases and dinos are gone then that would be a different story. I cant log in to check so...

As much as I'd hate to say this, I must. Making ppl whole using admin commands would take more then just a few days...as more people log in and find they were affected, god knows how many. I'm not lazy and would help if that's what our AAH community votes for. I just get this image of a breadline of people waiting to be helped by an admin rather then playing.  Wipes help reinvigorate the sever every time. I've been working a lot lately and with a family at home I've always hated losing what I worked so hard on. However, wipes always give me a chance to reinvent myself and my buildings. |

I voted for admin. If all of our dinos and buildings are still there and all we lost was characters and their inventories then I think it would be a waste to wipe the whole server. Even a few days waiting to get stuff back beats the month or two it would take to get all those dinos and buildings back. Either way, I'm sticking around!  |

So normally making a new character seperates you from your former dinos and buildings, so are the new character and all belongings reuniteable? Losing gear that was on a character seems somewhat minor imo. (talking of experiences on an official server, losing some quality gear due to bugs more than once) However a totally fresh start might be refreshing if one wants to keep playing, if starting afresh feels impossible, maybe it really is time to take a break from the game.

started teh server so people can go in and see if they still have dinos etc. know that you will NOT be in the tribe and you'll likely have to rename your character. if everyone could compile a fair list of gear they had on them (hopefully everyone does what I usually do and log out with all my gear in a box) on their PC in notepad or something it will speed things up for admins if we go that way.
come to think of it, some tribes may not exist after this too. that would make giving buildings back an insanely hard chore, but do-able.

When I logged in last time I decided to go through and create a new character (as the server forced me to do) I then managed to find my old body where I left it (logged out in our base) after being invited back into the tribe. It was unconscious and I took back every gear in that body. Maybe if people can find their old bodies (if ofc, they left is somewhere safe before) then the admins would not need to re-spawn some of your gears. Gonna go check in again this time.

I logged in dead, was able to spawn in my bed. Everything is there. Even found my dead body.

I am at work and unable to check back in until about 8:30 eastern time. How far did the rollback go? That might give me a better idea of what I may have lost.

Yes, anyone who played on 9/20 still have everything.
I know no one from enron was on on 9/20, i was able to create a new character, and go add myself ot my old tribe. tribes persisted.
that makes this a lot easier. will still take a couple days probably to get everyone sorted. but at least i'm not going building piece by building piece giving things back to people.

My everything is intact basically where I left it last night. If there's a wipe, rather than increased rates, everyone who isn't new to join on wipe should get one high level small animal w/ saddle to start with, discluding flyers, rex/spino/giganoto. So like, a direwolf or sabertooth or trike or raptor or terror bird, etcetera

I'm against a wipe only because if tribes are as recoverable as everyone is saying, levels and gear are no thing with our dinos still around. Just my opinion though and I am a noob so feel free to crap on me if I am wrong. *Edit* Also if we could open the poll back up I'd like to get my vote in. If it cannot be just pretend I voted in time and it is now 5 - 6 in favor of a wipe.

closing the poll, it's not unanimous, and I was able to make myself whole rather quickly. The only possible outliers are solo players who had their own tribe with no one else in it. I'm not sure how that will work, but we will see.
Log in - create a new character (can use the same name as your old one)
Ask for an admin - Nails, Nashiq, Swoljaboy, (possibly dewfus, not sure he has experience with the needed commands). Admins may not be on, this will take some time to fix so the addiction may need to be put on hold for a few days. I can only get on at night (post 9pm est) with any sort of regularity. Nails is usually the same way.
We will come help level you back up, insert you into your old tribe and give you back a reasonable level of missing gear that may have been on your person at the time. (please make a list for us. if you are asking for all ascendant gear, we're going to want to see blueprints lol.)

Doesn't look like we'll be wiping.
Opening up the obelisks for uploading/downloading dinos can cause major balancing issues and has destroyed official servers before. So we're unlikely to ever open the obelisks up for that.

I guess I was lucky and seemed to only have lost my binoglass. I also couldn't find bp for binoglass. I can help those that lost everything but won't be on until tomorrow.

binoglass has been removed as it was suspect that it caused some crash issues. it also can unlock cabinets and doors of people not in your tribe making theft a possibility. until that's fixed it will stay gone.

I guess at this point I'm waiting to have my tribe given back, what will increased rates be to help get the levels back on the characters? or will admins just add xxxx XP to players that need it?

Fingers crossed that Wildcard can find our characters (with the new patch) and rollbacks can restore our hard-worked-for bases, so that I can get back to addiction - I mean Gaming!  Thank you Have logged into server - happy! Base & dinos are still there - Happy! Had to make new toon, can see high lvl Attica on the floor, can't invite myself to join my tribe of course so everything is locked to me - happy fading. Fingers crossed. |

Ended up not having work. I will be getting on in a few minutes to help with experience, tribes, and items. If anyone is waiting for admin help, get on shortly and ill happily assist. There is no need to get all wipe mode!
