Been meaning to make this post for several days, so here it goes:
Our tribe started out small with just myself and LeeLucky, but soon grew to the beloved "city-state" (much love halo as this is now an inside joke among good friends, lol). Marx and Pro soon followed, then our friends Kiz and Kattu, and then Juke, Cy, and Derr. We mostly worked in pairs, or had solo bases scattered around the middle jungle and also two in the redwoods. I began many building projects (including my waterfall overlook which I was very proud of and big thanks to Bill for the trade for elevator parts!). We traded Paco's (mine and Lee's fancy painted dodos), opened up The Thirsty Paco for beer sales when the new dinos arrived (courtesy of LeeLucky), had a walk-through indoor glass garden, bred jerboas (since we had the only female by accidental spawn and was ok'ed by the admins; courtesy of Kiz & Kattu), and sold high level Mosa's (courtesy of Marx). All in all we loved every minute of playing on this server. The mods were both beneficial to us (the increased speeds), as well as beautiful (I shall miss my glass metal mod dearly!). The one event we were able to attend- the turtle race&painting contest- was a blast. Kudos to, I believe, DinoDave, for creating the course and haunted house!
As of a little over 2 weeks ago we had a discussion about possibly finding a new server to experience The Island and start fresh as a group, since we were under the impression the wait would be until April-ish. We did find a new server and it is also modded, and very different. It is extremely challenging as it contains the extinction mod, among others (allowing for much harder dino battles, as well as alphas of all kinds to tame).
Upon learning of Ark Against Humanity's server wipe and the move back to the island we discussed possibly returning, however we were already really deep into building (btw, the castle mod is AMAZING and I HIGHLY recommend it. It works with S+ as well) and had a growing collections of dinos.
So (dang this is long, sorry), I just wanted to take a moment to say thank you to Nails, Nash, DinoDave, and the other admins who have created such a wonderful server and community <3. A shoutout to those players who traded with us, laughed with us, or were just super helpful. You guys rock! Also a hug goodbye to my best client and the nicest guy, Bill! Keep The Paco Shelter mission alive XD I've several of you added to steam (my steam name is Fraggle), PM me if you're interested in what mods our newly found server is running. They might be ones to consider when the game gets stale, as it makes things even more challenging
I've not spoken or heard from Marx or Pro, but if either of you read this feel free to create a new tribe as we've moved on The rest of the Paco's: Myself, LeeLucky, Kiz, Kattu, Cy, Juke, and Derr are on a new adventure!
Farewell... for now
