I've opened a ticket with our provider. I know some of the lag is game related, another is population/building... but we're on a high dedicated server with 70 slots. Using less than half the slots... shouldn't be this much lag. I'll update with what I know.

Looks like they are blaming it on the last patch.

Seems like Toni has extremely valid points.
However decreasing dino spawn isnt something I'd like tbh.

we're actually on 2x and we've been running that since server inception. before we started our own server we played on an island sever with about the same general population density for 4+ months running up to 5x with no issues.

I'd say try the command he said to use to see the server stats, so can see what we are dealing with. More information always good to have.

I agree that monitoring performance and trying to get some sort of baseline figures to work against in troubleshooting is a solid "next step". The lag is only a mild annoyance until it starts leading to frequent disconnections/deaths; I'd say we can deal with it while data is collected to determine what might be worth changing. Also, while Toni seems to be very set on using a 1x dino spawn multiplier, you may want to update the thread to properly indicate the 2x rate for any future discussion that occurs, to ensure quality of advice.
