Hypothetically, if I were to take a break from the game of a few months, and the server is still up and unwiped, and I uploaded a few of my bred animals, would an admin allow me to re-download them back on so they don't end up starving to death while I'm gone? If not, I would have to check in every so often to feed them. Only animals, no items.

Personally, i think a another good option would be to let someone keep the dinos while you are gone. If, hypothetically of course, you do take a break, you could keep them at my base. I haven't feed anything in over a month now since no one is ever in render range of it so nothing really ever loses food, and there is a 100% of them not dying by Gigas, unless Gigas somehow learn to breath underwater/swim

I'd agree. Considering the circumstances and your desire to keep them. This would be an ideal course of action to ensure their safety.
If you like, you can hold them at Enrons base. I'll teleport them for you.
