Hey there.
We've been on the server for a couple weeks now. We've put down roots so I thought I'd formally introduce myself.
I'm quite the novice to Ark. My son, TNT, got me into it. He's 10 so if he says some strange things, or has terrible spelling in global, please be patient with him!
I am in the tribe Sanguine Foedus, founded by 9mmblue. He invited me on day 1, was just fate that his base was near where I started out. Since then he and my son have done a decent job of geting me a basic understanding of how the game works.
Before this, I took part in a live official PvE server. Although I liked it, the taming rate was positively brutal and untenable. Because of that, I just HAD to look for an unofficial option. So I looked around for servers that had an active player base AND wasn't greatly different from official rules.
This server fits those parameters, and I'm glad to be here!
My son and I live on the northeast coast, roughly around 31, 83. Right on the beach. Very scenic. Nice view of Carno Island.
I've got so, so much to learn so noob-ish questions in GC are going to happen
My steam name I just changed to match my user name in game, don't hesitate to add me.
Anyway, my plan is to build a small scale egg farm, focusing more on what's required for breeding. Any advice and help is welcome! I'm going to work on building a barn tonight. I just learned about the whole eggs falling through ceilings and foundations bug so that's my current mission now that our property is fully enclosed.
