Is there a rule against setting them out in the wild, instead of putting them down? I kinda (ok, really) hate the idea of killing off my own tames, and think it would be much more fun to release them into the wild on aggressive and letting it live out its life. It'd be like (in some cases) letting out a low level alpha in the wild. I could put a transponder on it and watch it's journeys  Or wish I could just have an admin command that allowed me to just delete the dinos I don't want. I just hate the act of actually attacking down my own dinos. |

I just hate the act of actually attacking down my own dinos. Can't allow them to be placed on wander/aggressive since they have a chance at interfering with someone's tame. You don't have to attack it to kill it you can also drown it or you can put them on top of camp fires. I understand that killing a tamed dino feels odd to some people, but with the tame limit, there's just no other way. Some people will simply disown the dino hoping someone will claim it at a later time, but really they just end up getting killed off and creating more work for admins. I'd suggest attempting to sell unwanted dinos or giving them to new players. Prepping the dinos for sale, making an announcement on a busy Friday or Saturday night seems to work best. Sell them all at once, like having a yard sale |

See, I am all for giving away dinos, it's just new players tend to not reply and - depending on where they live - it can be problematic. Spamming global isn't an option either.
Ah well.

we never liked giving away dinos because we like that the game is hard and you should have to work for what you get. it's not so hard that it's impossible to get good stuff. why play a game if you dont' want to put any effort into it?

I hear you, I just loathe the fact of butchering my own dinos. I realize it's just pixels, but it doesn't stop me from being a little bothered about it.
I realize an admin based command wouldn't be possible, but somehow that's what I'd prefer to see. Some means to just instawipe our own dino(s) via command.
The drowning is probably the best option overall given the circumstances.

Would be great if S+ could implement one of those "guns" they have, that kills the dino right away, humanely. Drowned two of my first rexes yesterday and piked the first argy in the face. Almost cried(((

If you have a bunch to kill at once an admin could do it, at least I could if I'm on, tho I've been busy w/ this crazy summer nonsense that happens sometimes irl. Destroymytarget is nice and clean, don't even think it gives a death message lol. They just go off to a better place  |

They just go off to a better place Yeah, especially with my kid getting back into things, I know its just a game but I really hate having to simulate this stuff. I know others besides myself as adults who hate having to drown out dinos etc. It doesn't give a death message, no. I realize this isn't a Y10 game, but most of the game otherwise is fine. He doesn't think of narcotics as drugs, they are just what you need to tame dinos. |

I bred pteros here last time we were on the island map, had to trash dozens and dozens of perfectly good, often beautifully colored birds that had absolutely no use or one wrong stat since we had so many. I hated it so much lol, that was before we went to friendly fire, so I had to round them all up and take them to fight bronto packs on passive... not a fan >.<
