I've never considered transferring items or dinos. But I do have a question. Can you only transfer something from one server to another in a cluster? Or if I went onto the original Island server and uploaded a stack of polymer or something, would I be able to transfer it to SE or Center on the new cluster?

Yes, you can upload stuff from any map and take it to another. You just have to go the obby where you uploaded it at. There is a limit of 50 slots and stuff in there expires in 24 hours.

For science, I tried a test. I went to the green obi on the original Island server and found no option to upload anything. I know that downloads are not active for that server. Does that restrict uploads too?

Does that restrict uploads too? Yes, transfers are on the cluster maps only. And the cluster is restricted to only allow transfers between cluster maps and not from anything else. |

Nope, you have to re-create the tribe when you join a new server, but once you create a tribe it stays on that server/you stay in the tribe on that server no matter how many times you transfer around

Just wondering Thank you Attica Unless you quit the tribe on the map in question, you will not lose access at all. Tribe/ownership is independent to each map. For example, you build your main base on The Island under "Tribe of Attica" when you transfer over to Scorched Earth you will need to create "Tribe of Attica" or whatever name you desire. This will not effect anything in your original tribe on The Island map. My nephew for example is in Enron on The Center, Schorced Earth and The Island, however he has created his own tribe on the Ragnarok map. Hope that helps. |

This is all great news!! We can go to a particular map for an AAH social event/race/competition etc then head back home! Or possibly go Kibble-shopping. . .

No, each map acts like a separate server. Only difference is you can transfer player, Dinos , and gear anywhere. Your base doesn't get touched unless a server wipes.

I know this has been answered. But not knowing a lot of the ins and outs, I just want to be sure. If the only member of a tribe transfers to another map, then back, all the tribe owned structures and dinos will still be under their control? I ask because the dialogues say that the present server instance of dino/player will be destroyed. But I suppose that's just a literal warning for that instance. I can transfer my only tribe member to another server then back again without losing access to anything or anything being abandoned or destroyed. Correct?

Example? arkservers.net and toparkservers.com both show the map on the search page. At the time of this post I hadn't registered them with ark-servers.net (which doesn't show you the map by default) I registered them yesterday and they let you specify the game name, so I tacked the map onto the name there. Added a !vote command on discord with links to the various sites so people have an easier time voting. |

Yes, each server in the cluster is just like a stand alone server. If you make a tribe on one server and transfer from it, it's like logging off the server. When you transfer back you will be in that same tribe. However the server you transfer to you will not be in any tribe (if it's your first time) and you'd have to re-make your tribe there. Due to the strictness of uploads, dinos can't transfer items and obviously anything on your item transfer will be yours. So transferring stuff shouldn't be an issue if you claim while in a tribe on the server that you transferred to. |
