I made a mini executive decision and added the Crystal Isles map. This was a map that's been on my radar for a long time and I've did a lot of video-watching with following the PoopingEvolved crew when they did a couple seasons on the map.
I've wanted to play it for a while and plan to do so (need to find time! ugh) so this thread is to introduce the AAH community to it as well as go over some balance issues the map has.
First a foremost: Element and Black pearls. Crystal Isles has a lot of biome-based crystal nodes which are mineable. Two of these nodes contain element and black pearls. I have disabled the harvest rates for these two elements so they should not be harvestable from the nodes. I presume you'll still get crystals however.
Secondly: Custom Wyverns. Some of the wyverns are custom to the map and include an increasable speed stat. These wyverns *should* be locked to the map and not transferable to other maps in the cluster. So while there is a balance issue with flyer speeds, it should not effect the other maps (yes I know this isn't quite fair, but it at least doesn't make taming wyverns on other maps over powered) Crystal Isles is also a much larger map than the Island (not sure where it stands compared to the other maps however) so I think it is slightly more fair to have a speed stat there. But this is not something I can configure I believe. It comes with the Map/Mod.
As of now I'd like to keep the map in the cluster, so it's not an event-related change or anything.
